Contributor Room
Privacy
This page explains how The Linnet's Wings Contributor Room uses information needed to manage contributor accounts, submissions and service email.
Contributor information
The Contributor Room may hold the name and email address supplied for a contributor account, information entered with a submission, uploaded submission files, and dates or status information needed to manage the submission process.
Account-security records may also be held where they are needed for functions such as email verification and password reset.
Google and Gmail
Fieldtool Contributor Mail is authorised to use the Gmail send permission for The Linnet's Wings. This permission is used only to send service email connected with the Contributor Room, such as acknowledgement that a submission has been received.
The Contributor Room does not use its Gmail authorisation to read, search, alter or delete Gmail messages, and it does not use that authorisation to manage contacts, filters or other mailbox contents.
Storage and security
Gmail authorisation credentials used by the Contributor Room are kept in a private server area outside the public website. Access to those credentials is restricted to the service that needs them.
Submission files are also stored privately and are not made public merely because they have been submitted.
How information is used
Contributor information is used to provide and administer the submission service, identify the contributor's work, communicate about that work, and maintain the editorial record.
Contributor information and Google user data are not sold to advertisers.
