Camlin by M. V. Horan

The scene is one of lilacs
Birds in song at noon
Ducklings on the Camlin
Announced by last nights moon.
Water always flowing
Intones a soothing sound
The millwheel of times silent
Entombed in ancient ground.
Beating wings and water
Echoes all in flight
Evening brings a medley
And harmony by night
Who can tell ofmemory
How many walk the lane
Are those of story webbing
Around the world the same.
